About Us
At Discovering Calm, we offer therapeutic yoga primarily for children and young adults with complex needs including Autism, ADHD, Learning disabilities and a wide range of other needs. Our certified yoga instructors are trained to work with individuals who have communication and sensory needs as well as behaviours that might present challenges. We provide a safe and supportive environment for our clients to explore the benefits of therapeutic yoga. We believe yoga is for everyone and our mission is to help our clients discover a sense of calm and balance in their lives through the practice of yoga.
Do you have children with short attention spans, lots of energy, high anxiety levels and lots of behaviour incidents?
Therapeutic yoga can help with all these things and more. Regular, consistent practice will help to teach regulation techniques and it is accessible to all, even the most dysregulated children and young people.
Yoga can also be very beneficial for those with complex physical disabilities supporting them to develop small independent movements and to relax and lengthen muscles held in spasm.
Are you looking to reduce anxiety, build confidence, improve sleep or digestion?
If so personalised 1:1 yoga classes at your home or in a local yoga studio could be really beneficial. We work all across the Greater Manchester area.
We can incorporate sensory regulation strategies and will use individual communication systems to develop relationships and communication skills.
